Cineworld Burton is a complexity 5 cinema with 9 screens, situated in a retail park in the centre of Burton.
It operates a concessions stand, Pick n’ Mix and Baskin Robbins. The full Leadership team consists of a General Manager, 2 Cinema Managers and 3 Team Leaders.
Located in the Midlands in the heart of the historic brewery capital of the world, Cineworld Burton boasts 9 screens with capacities seating up to 316 guests, 5 of which are 3D screens and 3 satellite capable screens. The venue is served by a large free car park and good transport links, with Burton railway station and East Midlands Airport close by.
The ideal candidate will be an existing General Manager or a Deputy General Manager who is ready and looking for their first role as a General Manager. You will be extremely motivated, demonstrate that you live the values, show strong leadership skills and be fully focused on the Customer Experience.
As a General Manager, you’ll be responsible for inspiring your team to deliver an unrivalled cinema experience. You’ll manage and oversee all aspects of running your cinema, from the day to day operations to financial performance. Assisted by a management team, you’ll work to deliver the Cineworld’s KPI’s and foster staff morale, whilst making sure everyone works in a safe and clean environment at all times. To succeed, you’ll need to have previous experience of senior management and the desire to strive for success.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Payroll management
- Facilities and Security management
- Till Operation and cash reconciliation
- Addressing and resolving customer complaints
- Recruitment, induction and training
- Coaching and development
- Adherence to health and safety legislation
- Succession planning
- Monitoring compliance and maintaining standards
- Performance management
- Operational management
- Budgetary management
- Monitoring competitor activity and business trends
- Managing shrinkage, wastage and margins
- Building internal and external business relationships
