Our National IT department within Aldi, have an exciting opportunity for an IT Technician to join our payments team on a 23-month fixed term contract.

You will have responsibility for working with several different stakeholders, both internal and external to support and maintain the hardware and software solution. Troubleshooting issues with the installation of the devices right through to the reported difference in payments with the EPOS solution will form part of your day-to-day activities. You will work closely with the wider team and several project teams to troubleshoot and assist in deploying the card terminals within our Stores.

Your New Role

  • Liaise with internal teams and third parties to support fault resolutions
  • Maintain and refresh the knowledge base articles on regular basis
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the payments team as required for projects, ranging from project management and change management through to implementation in Stores
  • Assist in investigating and resolving card payment differences whilst engaging with the finance teams
  • Support the team to complete the annual compliance and audit checks on our payment platform
  • Support the testing and release of any software builds on the card terminals

About You

  • A-levels or equivalent qualifications
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as SharePoint
  • IT support and IT support tools knowledge
  • Experience of working with external suppliers
  • Excellent customer service skills, able to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, and strong administration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Be self-motivated
