Job Summary
Machine forgings and tooling to specified drawings across both manual and CNC machining centres. The parts machined feed both the commercial and aerospace markets.
- H&S – Work in a safe and responsible manner. (For own and other people’s safety).
- Conduct any pre-shift H&S checks as specified; for example: Hoist Crane.
- Maintain a high standard of workplace housekeeping (5s Duties)
- Ensure ALL Quality procedures and processes are followed.
- Machine parts to drawing.
- Use measuring equipment (Micrometers, Vernier, Wall Thickness Meter, Surface Roughness gauge).
- Material Movements.
- Machining working under +/-.025
- Manual Milling/Turning Experience
- CNC Milling/Turning Experience
- Understanding of Siemens and Fanuc CNC Controls
- Good communication skills
- Part programming an advantage
- Flexibility
- Windows based computer skills – Advantage
- Experience with machining Forgings – Advantage
- Attention to detail
- Apprentice trained – Mechanical Manufacturing or equivalent (desirable)
- Forklift License to RTITB/ITSSAR or any other national accredited qualification– Advantage
- Overhead Crane/Lifting Certification – Advantage
- Team player, but able to work on own initiative, as required.
- Able to work under pressure and deliver results to a defined deadline.
- Logical and analytical.
