An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the consultant team at the Welsh Centre of Burns and Plastic Surgery, based at Swansea Bay University Health Board.
We are looking to recruit a keen and enthusiastic new colleague to join a friendly, forward thinking team in hand/nerve/general plastic surgery/major trauma. This is a full time locum Consultant post based at Morriston Hospital but working across the Swansea Bay University Health board sites. The successful candidate will join a team of 24 substantive plastic and reconstructive surgeons responsible for the provision of Burns and Plastic Surgical services for the population of South Wales.

The city is the gateway to the Gower Peninsula, designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. Walking, fishing, surfing, canoeing and sailing flourish in the area and Walkers/ ramblers are spoilt for choice. Singleton is a University Teaching Hospital allied to the College of Medicine at the rapidly expanding Swansea University and is a designated training unit for higher specialist training in Wales. We are consistently rated highly in the GMC junior doctors’ surveys. There are excellent teaching and collaborative research opportunities with Swansea and Cardiff Universities. The medical school is consistently ranked 3rd or 4th best in national student surveys.
