This is an exciting opportunity for aData Analystto work within a dynamic, supportive and multi-disciplinary team.

The successful post holder will play a key role in providing the necessary analysis to inform the development and improvement of clinical care, and the resulting operational and financial impact.

The applicant will be involved in discussions with operational and clinical colleagues from project scoping through to embedding new ways of working as business as usual. The analysis provided will be vital in targeting efforts at the right areas to deliver the greatest service improvements and therefore a close working relationship with the clinical teams will be needed to understand how the different services operate.

  • To ensure the timely delivery of reporting, data analysis and provision of data to support the ongoing operations and strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Reporting to the Head of Analytics the post holder will ensure the quality assurance of data requests, analysis and pieces of development. This will involve using a mix of SQL, Power BI and Excel
  • Assist colleagues across the Clinical Group in gaining a greater understanding of the data that is key to driving improvement in their service
  • The post holder will have the opportunity to complete ad-hoc exploratory analysis to try and identify further opportunities to be discussed with operational and clinical colleagues
  • Attend meetings alongside the Head of Analytics to discuss the analytical requirements and options with operational and clinical colleagues
  • Analyse, understand and interpret data from multiple sources in a way that can be presented to non-analytical colleagues.
  • Automate routine requests that fall within the Clinical Group responsibilities
  • Contribute to demand and capacity modelling and other predictive analytics requests
  • Ensure that all work adheres to Information Governance standards and Trust values

Reporting to a Head of Analytics, the role will suit those looking to apply their analytical skills directly with clinical and operational colleagues across operational and strategic agendas.

The Integrated and Specialist Medicine team is dynamic and this gives the opportunity for a high level of engagement with central health informatics and to develop a bespoke programme with clinical analytics and transformation teams.

The successful applicant will play a key role in optimising our patient interactions within GSTT as well as responding to the voice of the communities we serve, working with partners on population health and value based healthcare.
