About the role

We are looking for a Lecturer in Cognitive or Developmental Psychology or Neuroscience to support us in our teaching and supervision of students in multiple programmes. You will be a highly research-engaged scholar in the area of mental health and wellbeing and/or neuroscience/counselling with particular interest in educational contexts.

You will have demonstrable potential for contributing to our current and future REF submissions, and in addition, will contribute to the department’s commitment to open science and support our actions towards the internationalisation of the curriculum.

About you

With an earned doctorate or equivalent in psychology or education, neuroscience, or related field, you will have a trajectory for growing a high-quality research profile, reflected in publications in top-tier journals and suitable for inclusion in Research Excellence Framework evaluations. The ability to teach effectively at higher education level, demonstrated through experience and knowledge of a range of learning and teaching approaches suited to the learning needs of students in higher education is essential.
