We are hiring up to two (2) full time temporary Labourer 2 positions (for up to 11 months), to join our crews in areas of Operations, Maintenance or Preventative Maintenance working out of the Aurum location in Edmonton, AB!

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Labourer 2 position is accountable for, but not limited to:
Repairing water mains, valves, hydrants and other assets.- Operating valves.
- Flushing and repairing hydrants.
- Performing hydrant flow tests.
- Completing black dirt and concrete restoration.
- Driving EPCOR vehicles to move tools & equipment to and from the job site.
- Use of hand tools, power tools, pumps, and other equipment.
- Supporting excavation crews to complete underground repairs on the water network.
- Updating the system and maintaining accurate records.
- Making safety a priority and supporting the achievement of a "zero injury" culture.
- Demonstrating a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner of working.
- Various other duties related to operations and maintenance of the water distribution system as assigned.
What’s required to be successful
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.- A minimum of 1 year of related labour experience.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License
- Limited to 6 demerits or less at date of hire
- A Driver Abstract (5yr. Commercial type) will be required.
- Drivers with a GDL class will not be considered
- Ability to qualify for and maintain an EPCOR driver's permit.
- Demonstrated capability to meet the physical demands of the position (clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing will be required) including:
- Lifting/carrying weights up to 22kg (50lbs) on a daily basis
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Security Background Clearance (criminal check) and professional reference check will be required.
