About the Team

Our team supports functions across Rapid7 with their Internal Technology needs. We are part of the Corporate IT Enterprise Applications department, and we have Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Data Analysts that help craft our technology strategies, product roadmaps, and support large projects and operational excellence. We have a wide array of internal technologies, and work very closely with our business partners to ensure they have the tools they need to be successful. Additionally, we work across IT and other Product Management teams to design and deliver those solutions.

About the Role

Our IT Product Management team is looking for an IT Product Manager with the strategic foresight and focus to drive the formulation of technology strategy and technical roadmaps with their business partners and across IT. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering with our Channel Sales teams to support their priorities with IT solutions and services. Over the next few years, IT will be supporting our Channel Sales teams with a Digital Transformation, revolutionizing and streamlining our MSSP (Managed Services) processes and systems as well as expanding our marketplace (e.g. AWS) presence and selling capabilities.

As the IT Product Manager, you will be working cross-functionally (with business analysts, development, engineering, QA, and operations) to assess new business demand, align on solutions and where they fit on the roadmap, coordinate the successful initiation of projects, and oversee the progress of the key strategic initiatives supporting your business partners. You will provide thought-leadership on how to leverage our technology and services to deliver on our objectives, spearhead internal product governance to align on priorities and trade-offs, as well as continuously building and improving our relationships within IT and the business.

In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Director, IT Product Management, and have the opportunity to learn from a diverse and dedicated team. This is a pivotal role for a relationship-focused thought leader who wants an opportunity to participate in Rapid7’s journey to a $1b+ company.

In this role, you will:

  • Overall comprehensive communication with business partners and stakeholders

  • High level IT vision across functional areas (expertise in Channel Sales required)

  • Internal product governance, facilitating quarterly technology reviews across all business functions to align on technology strategy, product roadmaps, and prioritization of the backlog

  • Coordination of annual internal product planning sessions to build out the foundation of work each year

  • Coordination and communication across teams, departments, and the company to ensure awareness of our product/technology strategy and ongoing initiatives

  • Process ownership for communications, work intake, IT governance using agile and lean methodologies

  • Support resolution of scope and other issues impacting the delivery of project and programs, by facilitating alignment across key stakeholders

  • Advocate maintaining standards, best practices, and quality of service throughout the delivery of our solutions

  • Partner with and develop strong stakeholder relationships with business leaders; this includes working closely with business units and business owners on a global basis

  • Support ad-hoc work (i.e. managing small projects, documenting business processes, assisting with requirements management and/or software test planning and execution)

  • Maintain a positive, results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, and communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner

The skills you’ll bring include:

  • Proven experience in developing strong business relationships

  • Expertise in supporting Sales and Marketing functions (particularly Channel Sales) from an internal technology perspective

  • Proven experience in delivering value using agile and lean methodologies

  • Hands-on experience supporting Salesforce (from a business process perspective) required

  • Experience with Netsuite highly preferred

  • Experience implementing and/or operating partner technology solutions (e.g. Experience Cloud, Impartner) preferred

  • Detail-oriented yet attuned to the corporate “big picture;” ability to drive strategy as well as dive deep where necessary

  • Aptitude to comprehend, adapt and succeed in diverse business areas

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated in organizing, planning and presenting solutions for large complex efforts

  • Client-focused approach to work with a sense of ownership and responsibility for overall quality of services

  • A continuous learner who stays on top of the latest technology, product management, and industry trends

  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload appropriately aligned to business needs

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree in a relevant technical area (Information Systems/Technology Computer Science, Computer Engineering) is a plus
