Role Summary
To ensure that all customs and logistics related administration tasks are completed in a timely manner. This primarily involves the day to day recording of all HMRC related data but also involves the running of the Goods In Area, supporting the data input of all goods receiving and shipping information, and the input of the data into the Company Inventory Module and other related databases. In addition, to assist when required with the Company 3PL activities and to place purchase orders when required for Logistics/Shipping consumables.
A highly driven individual who can adapt to different scenarios within the business, with a professional approach to identify solutions to problems, provide solutions and communicate effectively with other team members in a timely manner. The individual needs to be able to work alone and as part of a team and carry out all relevant tasks and ensure all work is completed on time and in full.
Main responsibilities
· To interact with Customs brokers for the purpose of Customs entry/discharge from Inwards Processing and Customs Warehouse and to ensure compliance with those schemes. In addition, to support the organisation of data to assist in the smooth preparation of Customs returns.
· To monitor the Goods Receiving Area and distribute/notify stakeholders when goods arrive
· To raise PO and Requests for Warehouse consumables as and when required
· To upload information from Warehouse receipts into excel or other databases
· To upload all shipping data as and when required
· To assist, when required, with 3PL activities
· To assist in the development of existing systems and practices
· Any other duties associated with, or different from those specified above at the request of Management, or to meet the needs of the business demands
