Salary of £45,000
Fixed term contract, initially for 14 months
Permanent (37.5 Hours), Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR BP to join our team.
The role is joining an established HR and Talent team who support the Williams Lea business across the United Kingdom and EMEA.
The role is responsible for providing comprehensive consultation and support on all human resource and talent management needs. The HR function helps drive the Company’s people strategy, supports our Company’s values and works with the core competencies that measure and drive individual and Companywide success in the marketplace. The HRBP is responsible for actively partnering with regional leaders and employees to help build a high performance culture through talent management initiatives and is simultaneously a hands-on and strategic generalist responsible for best-in-class execution of all HR processes and transactional work. Additional key responsibilities include employee relations, on-boarding of new hires, compensation, partnering to facilitate learning and development initiatives, along with ensuring functional excellence for HR processes and transactions. This role looks after a head count around 600 FTE.
Your main responsibilities will include the following:
Act as a trusted advisor by providing guidance to the Business, aligning HR strategy to business objectives while mitigating risk. Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements. Be Pragmatic in your approach and build effective relationships with remote stakeholders outside of the UK Proactively partner with Senior Leaders and HR leadership to support the implementation of new business contracts including, but not limited to, pre-contract due diligence, participation as team member or project lead, in work stream planning sessions, transition of existing client employees and management of onboarding initiatives. Provide timely advice to on the hiring and selection process; work with hiring managers to develop robust job descriptions and ensure they have the Tag resources/tools to identify and recognize key behaviours, success factors and skills for open roles; participate in the interview and selection process of talent as directed. Partner with Talent Acquisition, Bens & Comp team and HR Support EMEA in facilitating internal mobility process. Deliverables include development of individual development plans at appropriate stages with manager per process guidelines and gatekeeper for approving initial applications. Conduct employee relations investigations as assigned, in response to individual or group employee concerns. Minimise any business exposure to litigation by applying best-in-class employee relations support to management. Provide guidance to managers engaged in corrective action/performance management incidents. Conduct appropriate due diligence to support any reduction in force/organizational change that impacts employees, including full legal review and consultation with HRD/legal as appropriate. Participate and/or take lead roles in projects, new initiatives and process improvement teams; partners with management and HR peers on the implementation and rollout of HR programs and processes, serving as consultant to the business units on changes and any related issues Coach managers on communicating annual performance reviews, corrective action programs, handling challenging conversations and reinforcing full participation in the performance review process in assigned region Support HR and Regional leadership in the development of the management team for assigned business unit; facilitate career development discussions with managers and key employees Participate in regional talent review processes and provide input into the identification of successors and individuals for participation in talent programs.
Key Requirement for the role
Ability to establish and sustain credibility with business partners and Human Resources colleagues; generalist experience in the following core HR functional areas: employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, compensation, employee development, TUPE, Redundancy Programs and ad hoc projects.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field and a minimum of 6 years progressive HR generalist experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; CIPD certification (or equivalent related professional designation) desired or minimum 5 years experience of ER and TUPE
Ability to prioritise work and requests to deliver high quality, value-added and timely advisory services to employees and management
Must possess good solid knowledge of UK Employment legislation including, but not limited to hiring practices, labour relations, and termination scenarios.
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills. Possess excellent listening skills with ability to arbitrate disputes and develop strategies for resolution; delivery of effective coaching/guidance to managers and staff in areas of career development, internal mobility, and conflict resolution.
