Do you thrive in busy working environments and like a challenge? The Debt Management Team is looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
You’ll be directly responsible to the Lead Debt Management Officer, playing a key role in all day-to-day debt recovery processes from reminder to settlement of Debts.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- That you are a team player, who enjoys working as part of a team, flexible and adaptable you need to display a ‘can do’ attitude, understand and support the need for continuous improvement and new ways of working
- An ability to, with training, learn new skills
- That you can work both on your own initiative and within a small team
- Comprehensive skills using Microsoft packages in particular Excel and have experience in finance and or debt collection
- That you can make decisions and complete complex tasks within agreed timescales
Successful candidates will benefit from:
- Flexible working, working one/two days a week in the Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bristol and Bath and easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away
- IT equipment for home working
- Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
- 25 days annual leave (pro rata), rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service
- Comprehensive induction training
- Ongoing on the job training and support
