Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Based in Greenford but will be required to travel to other sites across London
Salary: £29,120 plus excellent benefits and company car

The main purpose of the SHEQ Officer role is to support the London consortium contract provision of specialist advice, coaching and support to line managers regarding the management of Health, Safety , Environment. and Quality Due to the nature of the role, it will require regular (weekly) visits to other London sites, Primarily Sidcup and Tottenham.
This is primarily an internal facing role but may periodically require attending customer meetings to champion SHEQ. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of the established HSE management system, policies and procedures. Conducting site audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with the company management system, targets and objectives.
The ideal candidate would come from a warehousing and distribution background across a multi-site operation. Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate with a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience in a similar role. With the ability and aptitude to work well with others and influence without authority; a people person who can help drive cultural shift.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide general support and assistance to the H of HSE in ensuring Legal/standards compliance
2. Assist with Health; Safety; Environmental and Infection control monitoring activities
3. Assist in the identification of and preparation of a range of risk assessments
4. Undertake of Health and Safety; Environmental, Quality and Infection Control Audits – producing audit reports
5. Provide Support in the reviewing and closure of actions
6. Assist in the reviewing and of accidents/incidents and near miss reports
7. Ensure relevant managers are completing all accident investigation paperwork and relevant forms and are recorded accordingly in regard to all accident and incidents occurring on site. Ensure forms are complete within our safety management tool and in line with company policies.
8. Ensure that all site checks are undertaken within our H&S management tool
8. Provide support in managing Medical Device Alerts and Field Safety Notices
9. Support the Head of HSE in ensuring Environmental legal/standards compliance
10. Assist in the processing of EL and PL claims
11. Ensure sites undertake post installation checks
11. Assist in the compilation of the NRS Monthly Board and Operations Executive Reports
12. Ensure sites meet the requirements set out within the following certifications/schemes:
Community Equipment Code Of Practice Scheme (CECOPS)
Quality Standards Framework (QSF) for TEC Quality.

What we look for in a Health Safety and Environmental Advisor:
· NEBOSH General Level certification or equivalent
· Accredited to TECHIOSH
· Operational experience in warehousing and distribution or similar
· Experience in managing health, safety and environment aspects
· Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite / Safety Culture (or equivalent)
· Good standard of English Language both verbal and written
· Numerate
· Good communication skills
· Work on own and as part of a small team
· Ability to take initiative and prioritise own workload
· Ability to learn and retain a wide range of information
· Interest in HSE legislation and issues
· Flexible in approach
· Methodical and highly motivated
· Willing to undertake further training and development
· Knowledge of ISO 14001, 45001, 9001 is advantageous
