Job description
When you join RPS, you’ll become a member of a deeply experienced marine consenting team who have been selected as the lead Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) consultant for some of the offshore wind industry’s major “firsts”. These include the world’s largest offshore wind farms: Orsted’s Hornsea One and Two, the first offshore wind farm in Australia – CIP’s Star of the South, and once constructed, one of the world’s and Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm - SSE’s Berwick Bank offshore wind farm.
Building on our success in Scottish offshore wind, we are now the lead EIA and Habitats Regulation Appraisal (HRA) coordinator for four ScotWind projects, comprising a quarter of the planned generation capacity from Scotland’s fixed and floating offshore wind leasing round.
We are looking to recruit highly motivated and ambitious Principal Level Consultants. These roles will support our portfolio of high-profile offshore projects in Scotland. What you’ll be doing
As technical lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on large scale projects, you will support the Associate Directors, Technical Director and Sites Director in the implementation of the business plan and you may also be a line manager for more junior consultants supported by the senior team.
You will work initially lead on Scottish projects but as your career with RPS develops, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge across our UK, Ireland and global portfolio.
Who we’re looking for
A post-graduate qualification in a relevant environmental discipline and having membership or chartered status of a relevant professional institute is highly desirable.
