Job description
TG Tait & Sons are seeking an additional full-time arable operator to join our small team based on the outskirts of North Berwick, East Lothian. We are a family business farming 1000 acres at home with a modern attitude, offering flexibility and commitment to our staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, team player with a “can do” attitude, for a full-time permanent role in our arable enterprise after increasing our acreage. Arable experience and training certificates are preferred but not essential as training can be provided, but a driving licence is required. The role of arable operator will include seed bed preparation, crop establishment, rolling, spraying, fertilising, estate repairs, machinery maintenance, grain carting, and loading lorries. All operations are performed using modern machinery with GPS. We are also involved in contract and share farming, which provides opportunities for the candidate to work in different environments. We offer competitive pay and additional pension contributions alongside the possibility of accommodation for the right applicant.

Salary: £11.00-£16.00 per hour
