Job description
About Trainline:
Trainline is an innovative tech company with a mission to make travel as simple, seamless, and affordable as possible. We’re proud to be Europe’s leading independent train and coach platform. Today, we work with more than 270 rail and coach companies to offer our customers travel to thousands of destinations in and across 45 countries in Europe and beyond. That’s more than £3.7 billion in ticket sales annually, and over 90 million visits to our apps and websites each month. In another major milestone, Trainline listed on the London Stock Exchange in June 2019 and is now part of the FTSE 250.
With a strong focus on technology and experience, we’ve developed an award-winning range of products and features, and today rank among the highest-rated travel and ticketing apps globally. What’s more, we are determined that travel should benefit our communities and our world by reducing congestion and our collective carbon footprint - we believe our work has a genuine impact and will change travel for the better.
That's why we’re obsessed with investing in innovation and building a world-class product. To us, it’s all about the human experience – placing the customer at the heart of every journey and creating a product that is intuitive and simple to use. New features and updates are in constant development resulting in trailblazing, data-led technology such as BusyBot, which uses crowdsourcing to predict where you might find that elusive empty seat on your journey. Similarly, Price Prediction can help pinpoint the ideal time for you to book tickets using AI and machine learning.
We set the pace in e-commerce across travel and continue to see significant growth – including a 140% year-on-year increase in app transactions. But it’s not just the consumer landscape we’re transforming – we also build rail booking solutions for businesses big and small, from seed-level startups to globally recognised brands. Today, tens of thousands of SMEs are using Trainline for Business accounts. That’s a lot of time and money saved.
