Job description
We are working with a well-established engineering business in Braintree that due to growth, is looking to recruit a number of additional roles.
It has a large regular order book, but also undertakes regular bespoke architectuaral projects for clients. In the past, they have also done one-off projects including the Cenotaph War Memorial in London.
They are looking to recruit an Apprentice Foundry Operative who is looking to pursue a technical career in a foundry.
During the Apprenticeship you will complete a Metal Casting, Foundry and Patternmaking Technician Level 3 qualification and will be required to travel for 1 week a month for training.
The organisation has ambitious plans to grow its production over the new few years, so there will be plenty of scope for career development and is happy to support any personal development/training required to do this.
The successful candidate will be looking to pursure a technical career in a foundry.
They are prepared to pay a salary of £14,950-£18,850, however, this will be reviewed in June with a likely 5% pay rise being awarded. The company also pays an attendance bonus of £2k pa and usually awards a profit-related bonus of £1k pa. £26,000 is achievable with all the bonuses and 10 hours overtime per week.
