Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a HR Administrator to join our clients' busy HR team in Basildon. The ideal candidate for this role will either have or be near completion of studies for the CIPD Level 3 and have experience working within a busy HR team.

The HR Administrator role involves:-

  • Assisting with recruitment administration and interview scheduling with the line managers.
  • Managing the on-boarding administration of all new starters (e.g., preparing offer of employment letters, contracts of employment etc.) and off-boarding administration for leavers.
  • Scrutinising right to work proof and checks, as well as analysing criminal records checks (DBS) for new employee screening to ensure these abide with legislation, seeking assistance when required.
  • Setting-up and requesting HR system accounts, IT accounts and accounts relating to the employee's role.
  • Managing the administration of all employee records and HR systems and databases.
  • Assisting with special projects in HR.
  • Providing holiday and sickness cover for HR function.
  • Supporting the HR team with HR administration duties.
  • Producing reports as requested by department / management (i.e. starters, leavers, annual leave, absence, Bradford Factor Scores etc.).

You will need:-

  • Experience in HR Administration and CIPD Level 3 Qualification (or studying towards)
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload with attention to detail.
  • Personal resilience and the capacity to work effectively and stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with an ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information, maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.
  • Experienced using Word, Excel and Outlook and HR systems.
