Job Overview

Contract Type: Permanent (Full Time)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £ 21,255
Location: GSK, Dominion Way, Worthing, West Sussex, England, BN14 8PB


Main Duties


  • Maintain high standards of service continuity to ensure support is provided for prompt delivery and collection of raw materials and finished products between B13 Warehouse and B2 production areas
  • Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the individual at regular intervals in order to meet changing operational needs of the business

Main Operations:

o To support Logistics & Warehouse operatives by the safe operation of ride on & push pallet trucks & pallet inverters to move, load, wrap and safely store palletised products on site.


Standards/SLAs:

o All activities conducted as part of this service will be carried out in line with the GSK procedures and policies that apply.

o Ensure full compliance to GXP operating standards of PPE, paperwork and conduct where applicable. To comply with GSK and Mitie PSOPs for standard working practices

o Ensure good standards of housekeeping in all areas used by the Distribution and Logistics team

o Report all damage and maintenance required on equipment to GSK immediately to avoid service disruption. To report any non-conformances to Mitie line management


People:

o Escalate any individual or team issues to Distribution & Logistics Team leader

o Patricipate in scheduled and ad hoc Mitie Tool Box Talks .

o Participate in client MyLearning and Mitie Learning Hub training requirements and ensure 100% compliance to KPIs

o Carry out any other reasonable requests


Health & Safety:

o Report all accidents, incidents and hazard reports through the appropriate Mitie and GSK channels immediately

o Ensure all storage areas for chemicals, fuel and cleaning equipment within Mitie's control are kept to the required standard of cleanliness and organisation, and equipment is in safe working order

o Be fully conversant with COSHH principles and to have a full working knowledge of all equipment used by Mitie, materials and agents

o Complete the daily vehicle checklists prior to use, in line with GSK's procedures and policies regarding the safe use of mechanical handling equipment. Report any issues immediately to GSK's outbound team

o Ensure personal hygiene and appearance is of the highest standard and full uniform and PPE provided is worn whilst on shift

o Ensure that company and statutory regulations of Health and Safety are adhered to at all times, promoting good safety habits and methods of work
