WorkplaceIT provide groundbreaking IT support services to many of the UK’s largest healthcare providers with a focus towards Social Care and Specialist Education.
We have an exciting new role as a Telecoms Help Desk Engineer ideal for somebody who loves solving telecoms and connectivity problems but also has a keen interest in IT.
Based from our King's Lynn office you will be working as a part of a national team who work collaboratively to support each other, a team which has fun and continually learns together.
Every day is different but this is what it will look like:
Be the escalation point for all telecoms, connectivity, mobile and MDM (Mobile Device Management) related problems.
Troubleshoot the Line, Router, WIFI and Network in conjunction with our partners and carriers.
Carry our pre-assessment checks prior to escalation to the provider
Proactively work with our clients telecoms and connectivity providers, our partners and the main carriers including BT.
Carry our pre-assessment checks prior to escalation to the provider IT Recycling Management
Organise diverts, temporary mobile connectivity and replacement equipment where appropriate.
Set sensible expectations with the end client and maintain a steady flow of communication.
Understands when partners, suppliers or carriers are using delaying strategies and how to overcome them.
Update our online documentation systems realtime.
Carry out / organise change management requests for our clients telephone systems.
Provide remote training for our end clients.
What you need to bring to the role:
You will have had at least two years' experience working in a similar telecom / connectivity-based role (not just mobile phones / mobile repairs).
You will have a keen interest in B2B (Business to Business) Telecom and IT Services and want to progress your career with a growing national business
You will need to be highly organised and capable of multi-tasking in a busy environment.
You will be comfortable picking up the telephone and talking to clients, suppliers and carriers.
You will have excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
You will absolutely be a team player.
Somebody who is able to commute to our King's Lynn office and is happy to be based from the office 5 x days per week when needed with the flexibility to work from home occassionaly.
What the renumeration package looks like:
Basic Salary £25,000 to £30,000 (DOE) depending on experience.
9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch.
Contributory Pension Scheme.
