JOB MISSION:

The Associate Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting with the delivery against one of our biggest partnership investments across EMEA, the TCS London Marathon as well as the wider London Marathon Events Series and additional partnerships as required. Building strong, operational foundations for a best-in-class brand experiences, this role will assist with the management and activation of these partnerships against key contractual and commercial deliverables.

Reporting into the Partnerships Activation Manager and working closely with UK&IRE Sales & Marketing, EMEA Marketing & Global Sports/Running Marketing to support the direction of the running partnership strategies, deliver its activation and identify growth opportunities to create new revenue streams and customer acquisition.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience from a marketing, partnership/sponsorship and/or events background as well as an interest in running, mass participation events and sport. The role requires someone who is pro-active and a good communicator with strong organisational and administrative skills.

This is a 12-month FTC, based in our EMEA Head Office in Warrington. We offer hybrid working and a flexibility to working hours to accommodate for a healthy work life balance. Occasional weekend, unsocialby hours and regular travel to London will be required.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assist with the ongoing management of regular workflow with cross-functional Project Leads, ensuring communication & tracking is always clear. Continual support with coordination, admin, reporting and regular communication across multiple functions including Retail, Marketing Communications, Wholesale, Sports Marketing, Gift of Kit, Hospitality and Product
  • Work with key stakeholders to activate opportunities to further commercialise the asset across London Marathon and fellow partners & charities
  • Lead on the management of Gift of Kit requirements, general updates, delivery, commercial product offering, launch windows, lifecycle & events
  • Support inbound and outbound delivery of commercial rights across contractual requirements seeking opportunities to further enhance and evolve the offering
  • Plan and execute full TCSLM Hospitality programme, with support from EMEA Marketing, including:
    • Third-party agency management (if appointed)
    • Venue/Hotel sourcing
    • Communication re. programme, race place and hospitality allocations across Markets
    • Guest gifting
    • Transport planning
    • TCSLM Race Day Hospitality
  • Build, communicate, manage and deliver race entries process for all events across the year, with NB Global associates and across Markets
  • Take full ownership of the Hospitality budget and manage recharges process with Market Leads
  • Support Partnerships Activation Manager with on-going partnerships budget tracking & reporting
  • Continually monitor 3rd party costs, seeking cross-quotations and value always

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Previous experience within a Sponsorship/ Partnership position
  • Able to manage multiple projects/workstreams at the same time
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Large scale events activation experience
  • Exceptional organisation, time & management skills
  • Knowledge of project management tools
  • Experience in budget and reporting management
  • Interest in running and sports industry would be advantageous
  • Take pride in your work and maintain an excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to Lift and move equipment
