Oracle Cloud Fusion Functional Consultant

An opportunity has arisen for an Oracle Cloud Fusion Functional Consultant to join the team at Galliford Try.

We now have strong foundations in place across most of our estate, the final building block, an upgrade to our core finance systems from Oracle eBusiness Suite to Oracle Fusion ERP, CX, Payroll and HCM is coming to a conclusion.

What you will be doing:
Our business is embracing and driving a new digital future for itself and is positioned strongly within the sectors within which we operate. The next phase of our evolution is already in flight.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Oracle Fusion functional and technical consultant on a full-time basis. This is a key role within the team and will carry significant responsibilities.
- As part of a team Be responsible for Oracle ERP Cloud Fusion second line support and ensure that configuration is at the latest release whilst ensuring business processes are not compromised.
- Ensure configuration documentation is maintained and up to date, experience of using Config Snapshot for cloud would be an advantage.
- Work with Business Process Leads and business stakeholders to prepare specifications for business cases supporting development and business improvement.
Review new functionality to assess whether it would add value to the existing solution configuration.
Work with Business Process Lead to test and schedule releases to Production and provide training guidance documents and videos via support tools such as Guided Learning and Oracle Digital Assistant.
About You:
The successful candidate will be a self-starter and a team player who relishes hands on activities. With a willingness to lead (the role is on the succession plan for a Senior Management position) good communication skills and problem solving are key attributes required. The ability to deconstruct complex technical principles and play back to a non-technical audience is vital.
The Ideal candidate will have a:
- STEM Degree
- Accounting Qualifications
- Oracle Fusion Certification(s)
- IT Project Management Qualifications
- 5+ years Functional experience across both implementation and support. A good understanding of best practice Oracle Fusion support.
- 5+ years of hands-on delivery and configuration of ERP and preferably CX, Payroll and HCM modules.
- Have proven functional and technical skills of Oracle ERP Cloud Fusion Finance Business Process modules i.e. General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, GL, AP, AR, FA, CA, Procurement, and configuration.
- Hands on experience of the Fusion quarterly release cycle i.e. reviewing release notes, impact assessments, reviewing new functionality, regression testing and release.
- Ideally experience in the AEC or manufacturing sectors and possess a good understanding of business processes especially those unique to our sector (although this is not mandatory).
- Commercially aware with understanding of how technology supports business decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder interfacing skills.
- Experience and awareness of Fusion report writing, strong development skills in reporting and analytics tools such as OTBI, BIP, OAC, PowerBI and the implementation of Infolets.
- Working knowledge of the Oracle ecosystem of solutions especially Oracle Integration Cloud and Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service.
