We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Electric Vehicle Finance Product Lead.
This is a critical role in the Unsecured Product Team and will lead the team who own the EV product, it’s future strategy and roll out. The key responsibilities include designing the new propositions and defining the go to market strategy.
In this role, you will:
- Be the product lead for HSBC’s new EV financing business, owning the EV product and associated ecosystem from a commercial, regulatory and customer perspective.
- Develop new EV financing products and defining the go to market strategy that meet the needs of the business and customers.
- Develop the distribution model for each product, including onboarding key partnerships that enable this go to market strategy.
- Responsible for ensuring EV financing products operate within conduct and regulatory risk framework.
- As a product lead, face off externally to key stakeholders (eg the FCA) with regards to the EV financing product and strategy.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Credit Risk, Legal and Compliance, Finance, Analytics, CRM, Marketing and brand owners to understand their objectives and constraints, ensure buy in to proposals and gain formal approval through appropriate governance.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience working in vehicle financing is critical, deep knowledge of the commercial, risk and regulatory impacts of running a vehicle financing business is a must.
- Experience in creating commercially viable vehicle financing products/propositions.
- Ownership of the Profit & Loss, showing commercial leadership to deliver returns.
- Strong ability to collate, analyse, critically evaluate, and present data and Management Information (MI).
- Ability to set and achieve challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field.
The base location for this role is Birmingham, London or Leeds.
