England Athletics is the membership and development body for athletics and running in England. England Athletics is a membership organisation with c1,700 member clubs/bodies and c148,000 registered athletes, which exists to provide services and support to its members and to promote and deliver athletics and running activities across all ages, event disciplines, ability levels and aspirations; and to give support to the wider sport where there are more than 6.5m who run each month in England, 3,500 licensed road races and 200,563 active RunTogether participants operating in more than 3,256 groups.

The Role:
A vacancy has arisen at England Athletics for a Digital Marketing Executive to support the Marketing Manager and work closely with the rest of the marketing team. The postholder primary responsibility is to build engagement levels and sustain and grow advocates across web, social and e-comms channels amongst our member clubs, athletes, and other important stakeholders across the sport.
The postholder will support all digital marketing activity focused on the activation of digital content plans, marketing and communication campaigns for England Athletics and its key sub-brands across all priority areas (participation, clubs, coaches & officials, competition, and talent).
This role will contribute to the wider marketing strategy, support marcomms activity at key England Athletics events, be responsible for the day-to-day management of all websites (content/ usability), work with agencies and other external organisations, support the development of and maintain a detailed website content plans and support the development of and execute detailed annual e-comms plans.
We are looking for an individual who has previous experience and knowledge in content creation work, preferably through sport. Experience and knowledge of developing, executing, and overseeing web, social and e-comms plans which helped successfully achieve strategic objectives.
The individual should also have direct experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), e-comms systems (e.g., Dot. Digital) and social planning tools (e.g., Hootsuite). In addition, the individual should have an interest in creative writing and producing content across all channels. Previous experience of applying insight to marketing planning and delivery and a strong understanding of SEO.
The individual should also have excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills as well as working in a complex multi-stakeholder environment. As well as having a flexible approach to work and the ability to use their initiative.
