To deliver our purpose of backing more people to go for it, in life and in business, we have three strategic drivers which we’re focusing on as a business: Stay ahead propositions Relationships that last Progressive platforms Role Purpose The Apollo programme is the key strategic delivery for the group and will enable the group’s strategic objectives by delivering a progressive platform that utilises data as an asset to help build a better tomorrow for customers, colleagues and shareholders. To do this we have four key objective areas: EXPERIENCE - Leading customer, intermediary and colleague experience CUSTOMER - Agility and flexibility to develop stay ahead propositions driving positive customer outcomes RISK - Transparent adaptable risk capabilities that enable sustainable growth and innovation FINANCIAL - Financial growth, positive operating leverage, and above target returns This role is crucial for the successful delivery of the programmes strategic objective and will be part of the core programme team. You will be managing large and complex workstreams, with a dedicated scrum team, using appropriate frameworks and collaborating with sponsors to manage scope and risk. You will drive delivery and continued success by managing service quality and cost. Measures and communicates progress to leadership within committed time frames. Proactively supports the right solution through innovative solutions and delivery excellence. About the role – what you will be doing in our team Reporting to the Apollo Programme Manager, who will be your line manager and responsible for things like performance review meetings, 1-1s and development conversations, you will be responsible for: Leading the delivery of a workstream of the Apollo programme through all stages of the project lifecycle including analysis, design, test, and deployment Managing a squad of business and technical resources, ensuing they are supported to get the work done and guiding the team on how to get the most out agile delivery methodologies Managing collaboration and linking in with business and technical stakeholders to coordinate discussion throughout the design, management, and implementation of project deliverables Enduring delivery is to time and quality expectations inline with stakeholder requirements Feeding into programme management meetings and steering on progress, Interlocks, or dependencies between workstreams, Escalations and Blockers Leading and adhering to essential governance requirements for project deliverables, creating and disseminating relevant information to stakeholders wherever required Applying vision and forward planning to plan decisively, whilst managing stakeholder expectations Supporting and presenting in product demonstration and engagement with stakeholders, ensuring questions and comments are captured and managed through to resolution Providing any other necessary support and regular updates as required to the Programme Manager and Programme senior leadership team About You – what we need you to bring to our team and business Awareness and working knowledge of agile practices, including SCRUM methodologies, DevOps, Kanban, etc. Working knowledge of Agile collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA) Excellent leadership and stakeholder management experience Strong communication skills, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels through facilitation, engagement, mentoring and continuous improvements The skills required to support delivery of the workstream, including but not limited to robust reporting and planning, foresight and problem solving, time management and organisation Qualifications and Professional Memberships SCRUM Master/Agile experience are Desirable Aldermore Bank
