The successfully appointed candidate will be reviewing data from devices monitoring critical infrastructure in the UK. You will identify trends and fault conditions in the data and learn to independently understand the causes and resolutions for issues identified from the data. The advanced candidate will develop their own tools and scripts to perform deeper analysis and present results and contribute to software being developed by the wider team.


RESPONSIBILITES

You will join an existing team who focus on the performance of our customers. We respond to daily queries from customers about electrical fault cases as well as providing ongoing performance analysis. We use data from multiple systems and create insights and dashboards in systems such as Tableau. We use insights from our AI team to support customers in the management of developing faults on the network.


  • Monitoring data being produced by Camlin devices in the field
  • Producing fault reports and analysis
  • Identifying trends in data series
  • Developing new tools for monitoring and analysing data
  • The successful candidate will have experience planning own work and working with limited supervision

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • You will need to be a final-year student from a 3rd level qualification seeking an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in business.
  • Be working toward a degree in a relevant scientific field incorporating programming components, such as electronic engineering or computer science
  • Have a strong mathematical background
  • Be confident in the use of data analysis tools


DESIRED CRITERIA

The following skills will be valuable but are not essential:

  • Experience of programming in a high-level language such as Python
  • Experience of data analysis on a cloud computing platform such as databricks, and utilising a distributed processing framework such as pyspark.
  • An interest in data science
  • Be enthusiastic about learning new skills, technologies and methodologies
