• Permanent post
• 11 PAs
• Full Specialist GMC registration required

The post holder will be expected to develop the Lipid and Diabetic Metabolic clinic together with the Endocrinology team.

This is an 11 PA, WTE (replacement) medical consultant chemical pathologist post to join a full time consultant biochemist (non-medical, already in post) to provide a comprehensive laboratory and clinical, biochemistry service with a 1 in 2 on-call rota.

The post holder should have the following skills and abilities:

• Enthusiasm for harmonious team working
• Independent decision making appropriate to consultant practice
• Effective communication with colleagues
• Commitment to lifelong learning
• Leadership skills, with ability to motivate and support staff and to be innovative
• Wide experience in clinical and laboratory Chemical Pathology
