You’ll be working with British Gypsum in Robertsbridge. British Gypsum is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK. The company has over 100 years’ experience in the manufacturing of plaster, plasterboard and ceiling solutions.
What kind of person are we looking for?

- You will hold or be expecting to graduate in 2022 with one of the following (or equivalent) qualifications: Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar Science Engineering discipline
- Have practical experience and / or theoretical knowledge of your area of specialism
- Have strong communication skills, enjoy working in a collaborative environment and can apply your knowledge working with a diverse range of projects.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Able to demonstrate our values of trust, collaboration and empowerment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
With a focus on safety, sustainability and quality you will be responsible for identifying and addressing the improvement opportunities that drive us towards our Expedition 2024 targets
- Contribute to our zero harm ethos with a relentless focus on safety in everything that you do
- Assist site Process Engineers with NPD project commitments, carrying out plant trials on time in full using appropriate planning and trial execution tools
- Conduct thorough investigations into plant losses using the appropriate WCM tool to identify and address root cause
- Identify and address energy saving opportunities to contribute to the company carbon reduction targets
- Support where appropriate as we transition to Quality Assurance in our drive towards zero complaints. Use your knowledge of Statistical Process Control as we roll out the technique into new areas
- Collection and analysis of production data to identify opportunity for improvements across the workshop K.P.I.’s
