Coachbuilder / Body Trainee - Walkergate depot

We have one of the most modern fleets in the UK and so we need brilliant engineers to keep our buses in tip-top condition for our customers.

Those customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team you'll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in perfect condition to do just that

It's a really important role within our depot but don't worry, we'll train you on everything you need to know, and you'll be supported by a great team of skilled body engineers and Engineering Managers who all pull together to do a brilliant job.

"What does the programme involve?" we hear you ask¦

§ A two year programme spent on the job learning in the depot with an allocated mentor working towards a level 2 and 3 S/NVQ in Bus and Coach Body Repair and Maintenance.

§ You will also attend specialist training courses to consolidate your skills.

We'll support you every step of the way in your career with regular reviews. You will be given exposure to work which will develop your skills and experience to allow you to progress your career further.

The only things we need from you are 3 GCSEs at Grade C (or above) or Grade 4 (or above) or equivalent in English Language, Mathematics and a Science or 3 standard grades (3 or above) or National 4 or 5 in English Language, Mathematics and a Science.
