The postholder will support the Head of Claims and Inquests in the provision and planning of safe high quality health care to patients across all areas of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, inclusive of the independent contractor services – in particular, the operational management of the Claims, Inquests and Redress aspect of Concerns and to contribute to safety of staff and visitors via the effective management of Personal Injury Claims/Redress.
We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic and motivated person for the role of Claims/Redress Manager with responsibility for Claims, Redress and Inquests.
As Claims/Redress Manager, you will handle a caseload and manage a team of Claims/Redress Handlers.
The successful candidate will have a law degree or extensive experience of working within a claims team ideally within the NHS.

You will be able to work in a high pressured environment and will have excellent communication skills. You will also have highly developed interpersonal skills, the capacity to deal with highly sensitive situations and the ability to work effectively and professionally with colleagues across the Health Board and externally.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
