S&A Accounting Services Ltd is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team in London. This position will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting functions of the company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and a desire to help others.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end close activities including preparing journal entries, reviewing financial statements, and preparing bank reconciliations
- Assist with monthly financial statements review, including preparation of reconciliations, review of the financial statement schedule, and preparation of supporting documentation for audit
- Assist with month-end closing activities including preparing sales tax returns, preparing bank reconciliations, and preparing sales tax filings
- Assist with month-end tax filings including preparation of 1099s, 1099 declarations, sales tax filings, and income tax filings
- Assist with month-end payroll activities including preparing employee time cards and preparing payroll checks
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think outside of the box when necessary
- Strong attention to detail is a must!
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills are required.
- Excellent computer skills are required.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
