We are looking to recruit a Cashier / Cash Reconciliation Assistant to support our busy Revenues Team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the provision of an efficient and effect income processing and reconciliation service
- Processing of receipts and payments, as well as bank statement credits and allocating income to various
accounting funds, income budgets and customer accounts
- Reconciling payments that have been processed at the end of each day and providing support to reconcile
all payments on a monthly basis
- Providing customer support across the Council including dealing with payment queries and tracing, and
sometimes arranging refunds
- Using IT systems to deal with routine queries ranging from the tracing of payments, to allocation of missing
payments
- Assisting with the maintenance and integrity of data within the Cash Receipting system
- Providing administrative support to the Income Reconciliation service
The work requires good organisational skills and the ability to work with accuracy. With good numeracy, oral communication and IT skills, this could be the job for you if you like to work on your own initiative and also work as part of a small, friendly and supportive team.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £21,575.00-£22,786.00 per year
