Full Time Staffordshire 50056 - 43742 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

This is a hosted advert by Midlands and Lancashire CSU, on behalf of the PCN who will be the employing organisation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paramedic to join the North Solihull Primary Care Network (PCN). You will be working alongside our four enthusiastic and highly motivated paramedics to provide support to 10 different Practices and a total of 81,000 patients.

You will also have the opportunity to work with our other highly-skilled PCN staff including GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmacist Technicians, Paramedics, and Physiotherapists. Not only will you gain a wide breadth of knowledge working alongside other healthcare professionals, but you will also gain invaluable experience working within a wider multi disciplinary team.

Upon commencing employment, you will be assigned a senior GP who will provide mentorship, clinical supervision and teaching sessions to help navigate your way through primary care. If newly qualified or entering your first year in primary care, you will also be enrolled onto the First Contact Practitioner Programme where you will receive monthly teaching sessions and support from the lead GP at the PCN.

  • Provide first point of contact for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems. This will involve utilising history taking, physical examination, problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills to establish a working diagnosis and management plan working in partnership with patients.
  • Undertake both face to face and telephone consultations for emergency on the day appointments or routine problems such as long-term conditions.
  • Utilise clinical guidelines and promote evidence-based practice.
  • Refer patients directly to other services or agencies using appropriate referral pathways.
  • Contribute to the practice quality targets to consistently achieve high standards of safe, evidence-based, cost-effective patient care and service delivery.
  • Assist on home visits.
  • Conduct frailty reviews for care home residents and the house-bound population.
  • Have a clean UK driving licence and access to a car to ensure support to multiple sites across the PCN can be given.
North Solihull Primary Care Network consists of 10 practices located in various sites across Chelmsley Wood, Smithswood, Kingshurst, Sheldon, Marston Green and Castle Bromwich.

As a PCN, we cover a total population of over 81000 patients with our purpose being to enable GP practices to work together in a collaborative way to develop and deliver network-based services that respond to the needs of the local population. Our aim is to sustain real improvements in both the care of our patients and our working lives.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent clinical support and care to our practice colleagues and patients and with this in mind we are committed to the development of our teams. Training and educational events form part of the support on offer to ensure you can reach your potential and our patients get the best care available.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Paramedic to further enhance our PCN team. If this is you, apply now!
