Care & Wellbeing Service Manager Bristol, England
Job description
We are looking for an experienced manager and outstanding professional who, like us is passionate about improving the wellbeing of all. Someone who is motivated by working in, with and for our community to deliver services that provide quality care and support to residents within the BS3 postcode area of South Bristol. You will have a strong understanding of the social care sector and what a person-centered community wellbeing and prevention approach can achieve. You will report to the Head of Communities and be the key to developing and delivering our response to social care and health needs.
Location: The Southville Centre, BS3 1QG and working within the BS3 postcode of Bristol.
Salary:£35,000 per annum.
Contract Type: Fixed term for 18 months, with the possibility that the role will become permanent.
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, working pattern to be agreed).
Holiday: 31 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays), with additional long service annual leave days (capped).

Who are we… BS3 Community Development is a well-established community anchor organisation working across two sites - at the Southville Centre in Southville, and the Chessel Centre in Bedminster. Our charity aims to improve the health, wellbeing, happiness and sense of belonging of the people in the BS3 postcode area, which we do through running our community centres, café, community activities and nurseries. We are embracing this opportunity to further our work and involvement in social care by delivering a new BS3 Local Care for Local People ‘Introduction Service’.

Who you are… We are looking for a Care & Wellbeing Service Manager to develop, deliver and promote the new BS3 Local Care for Local People ‘Introduction Service’ for BS3 Community Development, using an on-line platform that has been designed to deliver local care to local people, by local people. The service will help to relieve pressure on the regulated care market, create new employment opportunities for local people and be able to provide a far better quality and range of support to those seeking care.
We are looking for someone who has experience of working in the Adult Social Care sector with an in-depth and current knowledge of the Adult Social Care systems and processes. You should have a good level of business acumen, be able to develop a business plan, associated budget, implementation plan and monitoring and evaluation KPIs. You will have experience of personal budgets, CQC requirements and The Care Act.
