Infection Control Data Analyst Cambridge, East of England, England
Job description
Working as part of the friendly, dynamic Infection Control Team to analyse, understand and interpret local and national Infection Control information requirements and related datasets. To offer an analysis service to both internal and external agencies, ensuring the data is accurate, relevant, timely, appropriate and precise. Fully conversant with patient activity data, how to extract it, its uses and relevance to national standards adhering to deadlines.
This role will entail a significant amount of unsupervised working and the use of initiative.
- To develop and implement the infection control statistical and information provision across a variety of healthcare settings.
- To analyse, understand and interpret complex individual, corporate and national information requirements and provide an information service across a variety of healthcare settings.
- To co-ordinate planning and implementation of individual projects, providing evidence of the level of support required. To include advising on and or undertaking the following: mapping out requirements; collating, analysing and interpreting data; preparation of reports for dissemination across the whole healthcare economy.
- To provide knowledgeable support relating to clinical audit, audit governance issues, and performance management in infection control across a variety of healthcare settings e.g. UK Health Security Agency data capture system, NHS Digital system, Integrated care board (ICB) and Integrated care system (ICS).
