Sales Executive - Volkswagen - Camberley

The Role
We are seeking a new and used Car Sales Executive, to join our Volkswagen Sales Team in Camberley, Surrey. Working as part of an experienced team and reporting to the Sales Manager, you will put your sales expertise to use in a busy customer-facing environment. Customer satisfaction, retention and loyalty is the key to your success and we will encourage you to build relationships with our existing customers.
What do we expect from you as Sales executive?
You will meet with customers that make their enquiries face to face, over the phone, or via the internet. You will manage these enquiries with courtesy and professionalism, resulting in vehicle, finance and insurance product sales. You will then guarantee outstanding communication and an excellent customer experience before, during and after the vehicle collection, ensuring that all options are tailored to the customer needs and lifestyle.
On a day to day basis you will:
- Make regular contact with new and existing customers to maintain a supporting relationship.
- Offer advice and guidance to our existing finance customers as they reach the end of their current contracts. Appointing as many as possible to the showroom so that they may discuss in great detail the options available to them.
- Respond to incoming queries quickly, efficiently and professionally.
- Remain pro-active. Seeking out opportunities, when incoming enquiries become quiet.
- Guide customers through both new and used car purchases, providing outstanding customer service as a representative of both Martins and Volkswagen.
- Achieve both individual and team sales targets by maximising the upsell opportunities from finance insurance products and accessories.
- Maintain an outstanding knowledge of the Volkswagen range of vehicles and options, by completing regular training sessions online and at training centres.
- Offer a fully compliant process, adhering to all industry regulations relating to the sale of vehicles, finance and insurance.
What experience are we looking for?
We believe that all experience, knowledge and opinions are vital to our progression and continued growth and improvement. We welcome applications from experienced car sales executives and also from applicants with at least two years of retail experience in a customer facing environment.
The key attributes we look for are:
- Experience in a Franchised Main Dealership is an advantage, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
- At least two years of experience in a retail sales environment.
- You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and capable of maintaining a positive attitude.
- You should be both articulate and numerate.
- You should take pride in the way that you present yourself to customers.
- Demonstrate negotiation and influencing skills, plus an ability and confidence to convert enquiries in to sales.
- You will be capable of embracing new / cutting edge technologies and be able to demonstrating them enthusiastically and in great detail.

Your 5-day working week is Monday to Saturday, with a day off during the week. You will also be asked to work 1 in 3 Sundays. You can expect to achieve an O.T.E of around £60,000 each year, based on a £20,000 basic salary (dependant on experience) and a simple but achievable commission and bonus structure. But, your earnings are uncapped, so the sky is the limit! In addition to a generous and paid holiday allowance, you will receive a Volkswagen Company Car and a Fuel allowance included for private use.
