We are a trade only specialist Office Technology distributor to a national reseller customer base in the office products/office technology market. A family business of 45 years standing, we are distributors for some 40 tech brands such as Brother, Epson, Fellowes, Philips, Acco Brands etc., and partner closely with them to develop sales & marketing objectives within the channel. The company enjoys an excellent reputation for professionalism and integrity, both with customers and supplier brands, and has won many awards in recent years at both UK and European level. We are seeking two ambitious and driven Business Development Managers to help our company expand. They are similar positions, one is more sole brand specific. The successful candidates will be part of sales a team working on an existing database of trade customers in order to increase sales (we're trade only/we don't sell to the public). These are a mix of existing account holders and new prospects. Required skillset - entrepreneurial, positive, driven, self-motivated, the ambition to succeed, the ability to sell and to build rapport with customers.
Responsibilities
As a business development manager at JGBM, you'll need to:
- Possess the ability to develop existing defined opportunities within an existing customer base and overcoming challenges to win the business against competitors
- Establish good customer relationships with key contacts within existing and prospect accounts
- Call existing and new prospective customers from a maintained database
- Meet virtually (online) with customers/clients, as well as by telephone
- Understand the needs of the customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet challenges / capture business
- Think strategically. Rather than a box-ticking exercise, seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and win business
- Develop a good understanding of the company’s products and services
- Develop a good understanding of key competitor products and services
- Liaise with relevant brand to arrange internal training for sales team colleagues on the sales team - (Brand Manager only)
- Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department (this item applies only to the sole brand role)
- Help to plan and execute sales campaigns to the agreed customer base
- Create a sales pipeline
- Negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers where required
- Increase sales of the business in line with company targets
- Assist in shaping and developing the sales and marketing strategy
Requirements

- A working knowledge of Google Workspace, Word, Excel, Presentation tools would be an advantage

Salary: £32,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
