Job title: Business Development Manager

Job description:

This position is accountable for specific sales objectives with agreed profit margins within the Business development team.


The purpose of this function is to ensure that the Surface Geomarket is well positioned with our clients and that we are meeting the needs of our contract execution. This position is focused toward ensuring that customer satisfaction and profitable growth is achieved.


Key deliverables of this function include:


  • Provide input to the Eastern Region Sales & Marketing Strategy; Inbound Budget and ensure CRM Business Database is constantly up to date.
  • Continuously updating and managing the S and OP Forecasting Database for accountability and ownership.
  • Produce and submit reports as necessary to the Northern Europe & CIS Geomarket management to maintain visibility on accounts.
  • Identify new business and implement strategies to secure same.
  • Identifying and exploiting all growth opportunities within accounts.
  • Market intelligence - research and monitor competitor business, products, trends and strategies.
  • Develop, establish and execute market strategies. These strategies must deal with the retention and penetration of key products, clients and accounts in line with budget definitions with a view to further growth.
  • Provide product and technical assistance, fit for purpose as well as innovative technical and commercial solutions, which provide winning combinations for our clients.
  • Ensuring a professional image of TechnipFMC is always presented to our customers and suppliers in line with TechnipFMC business practices; ethics; quality and HSE standards
  • Coordinate, manage and supervise any client visits to TechnipFMC manufacturing plants.
  • Follow up with all tender activities and be responsible for the sale, facilitate the requirements and client needs to the tender team (both commercially and technically). If any meetings with the client during tender, he/she must facilitate these meetings to deliver and ensure the TechnipFMC Strategy is maintained.
  • When a project is completed be a part of the lessons learned team to see how we can update and change the strategy or knowledge about our client based on the experience.
  • Upon successful tender/project award, sufficient handover of prior work will require to be submitted but maintain the support to the startup of the project.
  • Have full working knowledge and understanding of the clients’ purchasing regulations and processes.
  • Represent TechnipFMC providing commercial and technical advice.
  • Liaise with other TechnipFMC business units towards defining and exploiting packaging opportunities.
  • Timely management, review and submission of all tender documents, attend pre-bid, clarification and post bid meetings.
  • Making sense of and articulate complicated market situations.

Qualifications
  • Degree in business management and or mechanical engineering or alternative industry experience.
  • Strong Technical Sales in the Oil & Gas sector
  • Technical/product/application understanding
  • Knowledge of drilling/completion/production/pressure control operations
  • Strong customer interface skills
  • Deal with complex customer commercial situations
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to develop internal teams as markets develop
  • Self directed and motivated to get the job done
  • Budget preparation and management
  • Strong communications skills

Work Environment

  • Travel throughout Northern Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States markets to attend meetings as required.
