About the role
In this varied role you will be providing general support for the day to day running and biobanking activities of the Leicester Cardiovascular Bioresource laboratories within the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre – Cardiovascular Theme (BRC). As a Biobank Technician you will collect and process whole blood samples, use a dedicated Laboratory Information management System as well as other equipment to process, store, track and withdraw biological samples.About you
To be a successful Biobank Technician, you will have technical or scientific education to at least ONC or NVQ 3 level, as well as prior technical work experience in a bioscience’s laboratory environment. Alongside this, you will have sound knowledge of good laboratory practice and of laboratory safety issues. Experience of handling human biological samples and processing blood samples is also essential.Additional information
