We are in need of a knowledgeable, engaging, and experienced bartender to join us, providing our guests with first-class service in our Private Members Club
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAY TO DAY?
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes
- Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.
- Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons
- Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- Clear and reset tables in bar area
- Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
- Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager
- Assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
- Meeting and greeting our guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable
- Actively training floor staff and barbacks by sharing your exceptional cocktail knowledge
- Working as a team player at all times
- Ensuring the bar, and bar area are kept looking pristine
- Occasionally helping other areas of the business as requested
- Making sure all checklists and cleaning rotas are adhered to
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU?
- Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
- Attention to detail
- A strong ability to multitask
- Commitment and drive
- The ability to attend and undertake all required training
- A passion for hosting and hospitality
- Confident communication skills
- Maintain and develop an excellent working knowledge of classic cocktails and our menu cocktails
- Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- Work with a sense of urgency and a “can do” attitude.
- Have a genuine passion for food and beverage
- Communicate any problems or issues with the other bartenders to ensure the smooth running of the bar service
- Ultimately, communicate any issues you cannot solve amongst yourselves to the Bar Manager or Head Bartender as appropriate, so they can be dealt with.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 35 per week
Salary: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
