Digital Marketing Executive

Youll bring your own talents to the mix, enhancing our omnichannel approach to marketing which considers how all of our channels work together to promote the brand, maximise sales, and drive a cohesive and impactful customer journey from awareness through to conversion. Each piece of the puzzle is important, from a single social post through to a full-scale national marketing campaign, and we work together to make sure that this big picture is one our customers want to be a part of and, just as importantly, that we do too.

Our Digital Operations Executive is the eyes, ears and organisational powerhouse of all things digital and reporting in the marketing team. Working with a fast paced marketing team and digital partners, youll thrive on creating an unrivalled end to end online experience for our target audiences.
As an individual, youll be fanatical about all things digital and have experience across the full digital mix. Youll be naturally curious and unapologetically results driven. Youll enjoy delving into the nitty gritty and feel confident presenting data and analysis to fuel the growth and resilience of our digital presence and online experience. This role will report to the Omnichannel Marketing Manager and be responsible for the line management of our Digital Marketing Assistant.

Youll be someone we can count on to:
OWN
- The data driven operations behind all aspects of digital marketing you will own the reporting and insight across our digital channels and help us to level up our capability as a result
- Manage and maximise HubSpot for Marketing ensuring the data is clean and complaint and the wider marketing team are using the email platform effectively
- The Student Roost website from form to function you will be the driving force of our website, the customer journey and how it converts.
DO
- Provide excellent leadership for the Digital Marketing Assistant, living the values and bringing the best out in the team.
- Manage the day to day relationship with our external web agency ensuring clear direction and KPIs.
- Manage the day to day relationship with our Digital Performance Agency understanding all aspects of digital paid media, budget management and conversion optimisation
- Create landing pages and conversion paths within the platform for specific local campaigns. Monitor performance and suggest improvements.
- Own reporting in HubSpot working with sales, revenue and IT to create and maintain dashboards that make it easier at a glance to monitor end to end performance
- Work closely with Omni Channel Marketing Manager, Content Lead and other support functions to create and maintain automation workflows to streamline our customer communications and core parts of our cycle
- Responsibility for the management of our third-party listings and digital partnerships to maximise our digital presence.
- Ensure the usability, design, content is always on brand and delivering results.
- Develop website and content development plans in line with the wider commercial and marketing plans.
- Create high performing landing pages to support marketing campaigns and offers.
- Work with the revenue and sales team to understand performance and identify improvements to conversion.
- Create test and learn strategies in collaboration with the wider digital marketing team to continually improve performance.
- Work with the campaign hub to deliver a seamless online experience across our digital channels.
LEARN
- Stay abreast of the digital landscape, developments, trends and competitor activity.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of Student Roosts properties, cities and markets.
COLLABORATE
- Work with the Customer Experience team to develop our online review strategy and monitoring practices.
- Support the delivery of our ecommerce strategy working with the Omnichannel Marketing Manager and IT team.
- Work with the Content Lead and agency to execute our SEO strategy to deliver page one results for our chosen keywords.
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure campaign objectives and deadlines are met.
- To provide occasional support to the wider team for email marketing, social media and website updates when required.

- One of the things we pride ourselves on the most is our agility and putting People (in the widest sense) first. This can make for a change-heavy environment.
- This is a role of competing priorities and as a seasonal operation, there are times of year when workloads may spike. The role requires someone highly organised, but someone who is calm and pragmatic in their response to changes.
- Despite solid planning, short-notice work may be required of you.
- There may be some repetitive tasks in relation to finance, budgeting, reporting or spreadsheet planning.

Within…
1 month
You will afforded the Best Start Ever to get to know the business, the brand, the people and every tiny facet that makes this business so special. Youll have time to read, reflect and ask as many questions as you would like to.
3 months
You will have been starting to get your hands dirty, learning the ropes and bringing your passion and ideas to the role. Youll have a clear understanding of the important part you play in the marketing team and wider business and be making a start shaping your role and getting stuck in to some of your key objectives.
6 months
You will be confidently contributing to the work of the marketing function. Youll have a roadmap and plan that establishes how you want to get things done including those initiatives you want to execute to improve team process. You will already have been involved in the current selling cycle and developed a taste for the fast pace within the team.
