About the opportunity:

To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we currently have an opportunity for a Senior Hydrogeologist with groundwater engineering experience within our hydrogeological team in the UK. We can be flexible on the location of the role.

Responsibilities will include:

Providing specialist environmental hydrogeological support, in particular, but not limited to, supporting large scale infrastructure projects, groundwater flood defence schemes & wetland studies
Providing specialist hydrogeological support in relation to groundwater flooding issues & hydrological – hydrogeological assessments
Leading on scoping, supervising / supporting and interpreting ground investigations to adequately characterise the groundwater environment.
Report checking and review.
Liaison with contractors, laboratories and regulators.

In addition to these key responsibilities, proven ability working in wider hydrogeological projects would be beneficial, including identification and impact assessment on environmental aspects and contaminated groundwater assessments.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • A minimum of a good honours degree in earth sciences and a master’s degree or doctorate in hydrogeology
  • Chartered with a nationally credible industry profile and international experience
  • Proficient in environmental groundwater aspects with extensive experience of environmental impact assessments
  • Excellent literacy, communication, analytical and numeracy skills
  • Contributing or technically leading on the production of bids on groundwater related matters
  • Full clean driving licence
