Title: IT Support Technician

Reports to: Manager of IT
Compensation: $29.42-$32.57/hour
Schedule: 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (75 hours bi-weekly)

Position's Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Technician will assist with the day to day operation of Pacifica's IT department.
1. Providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, including:
- Active Directory Administration;
- M365 (Azure AD);
- SharePoint Administration;
- VoIP network administration and VoIP phone provisioning;
- Website development and maintenance (VPS, IIS, PHP, Bootstrap, HTML, JavaScript;
- CCTV administration;
- Computer and printer provisioning and repair;
- Cell phone provisioning and maintenance;
- IT budgeting and planning;
- MS Office support and troubleshooting;
- Liaising with the contracted IT providers to address issues as they arise or to revise services as needed;
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles.
2. Access Control Administration:
- Assisting with SALTO and Kantech FOB creation and management, firmware updates, network troubleshooting as needed.
3. Knowledge-base Maintenance:
- Assisting the IT Manager in department consultation, development and deployment of an organizational-wide knowledge-base.
4. Moodle Administration and Development:
- Supervise the security, performance, and fault-tolerance of the Moodle LMS environment;
- Respond to inquiries and requests from users for Moodle-related assistance as escalated through the support process.
Requirements
Qualifications (minimum Education and Experience requirements):
Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Education:
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information and Computer Systems and/or related experience in a professional office environment.- Previous IT technical support work experience in a busy office environment is preferred.
Experience:
- Detailed-oriented with strong technical aptitude, including intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, especially in Word and Excel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Criteria for Role:
- Completion of a Criminal Record Check is required before employment commences.
- Must have valid class 5 driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle with a minimum of $2 million liability 'business class' insurance.
