Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Nuclear Energy & Decommissioning Team in Warrington, we are looking to enhance our capabilities and recruit a Project Manager to work on our high-profile projects.
You will be part of an exciting and diverse team, supporting us to successfully manage and deliver our projects. Working closely with AECOM Senior Project Managers, you will be one of the first points of direct contact with the external client(s) for the progress, commercial and contractual responsibilities on the project.
Currently we need a Project Manager to work on a project that has just entered the RIBA 3 stage, to work through the current and subsequent project phases including RIBA 4, the implementation on site (RIBA 5) and subsequent commissioning. It is currently expected that the project will continue for a minimum of another 3 – 4 years.
Your role will involve client-side management including actively providing progress reports and financial reports, while managing and maintaining stakeholder relationships with clients and their teams, internal AECOM project resources, the internal AECOM Operations Team and other relevant project parties.
Please note that travel to other UK company sites and some international travel may be necessary as part of the role.
In this role you will:
- Be client-facing, communicating with key stakeholders.
- Support multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Work as a key team player within an integrated multi-disciplinary project delivery team ensuring a collaborative environment.
- Implement an effective project management process throughout the lifecycle of projects.
- Clearly communicate with all internal and external project stakeholders.
- Prepare formal reports and documents.
- Provide Project Management support to the Senior Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager and Lead Design Engineers as required.
- Participate in the management and updating of the project’s organisation structure, project execution plan (PEP) and project quality management plans (PQMP).
- Establish, track and report status against key performance indicators or contractual metrics on a routine basis.
- Ensure development and adherence to the projects approved scope of work.
- Support the Senior Project Manager in the commercial, financial requests for the project, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal team members as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to meet the requirements for BPSS and SC security clearance in the UK.
- Have professional client-side project management experience.
- Design management experience.
- Contractor management experience.
- Ability to use various Project Management Software supported by strong IT skills.
- Understanding of NEC contract administration.
Desirable:
- Professional qualification in Project Management.
- NEC 3 Contract Administration .
