Role Overview
We are looking for:
- Someone who can execute manufacturing processing in accordance with QHSE rules and regulations while meeting or exceeding customer requirements.
- A person who can comply with HSE regulations and company policies.
- An individual who can manage the flow of day-to-day operations within the assigned area.
- Someone who can support and complete assigned tasks within the Excellence programs and promote continuous improvement activities.
- A person who can ensure administrative duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Someone who can monitor field equipment, make adjustments, and troubleshoot as needed.
- An individual who can take corrective and preventive actions to maintain acceptable control guidelines and prevent safety, environmental, or quality incidents.
- Someone who can monitor all aspects of chemical process production through field observation and control system monitoring.
- An individual who can recognize abnormal conditions while performing routine tasks.
- Someone who can maintain written records of field instrumentation readings, process changes, equipment malfunctions, and safety issues.
- An individual who can start and stop compressors, blowers, pumps, etc.
- Someone who can turn valves and adjust controls associated with various equipment.
- An individual who can prepare equipment for maintenance.
- Someone who can collect process samples, run lab analyses, assess the need for process changes, and document results and actions.
- An individual who can frequently climb ladders and stairs and may need to climb into pipe racks with safety harness.
- Someone who has knowledge of chemical processes, associated hazards, and mechanical equipment used in assigned units.
- An individual who may be required to serve as a member of special teams (quality, safety committee, training, environmental, etc.).
You can count on us for:
- Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring team compliance with Solvay Life Saving Rules, use of PPE, HSE rules, regulations, and policies.
- Supporting the manager in complying with HSE rules, regulations, and policies.
- Ensuring that own activities and initiatives respect HSE rules, regulations, and policies.
- Completing assigned incident investigations.
- Implementing assigned HSE incident action items on time.
- Resolving assigned internal/external audit findings on time (Dakota, VPP, etc.).
- Performing internal HSE audits and inspections.
You will bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Completion of an associate's degree in Process Technology or other chemical focus (STRONGLY preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial/plant environment.

- Competitive salary and benefits package
- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $62,000 to $70,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
