This is an exciting PART-TIME opportunity to join our progressive team as an Auditing lead.
The clinical lead plays an integral role in the review and management of existing frameworks in relation to the Prescribing Practices of our pharmacy. Where required, the lead will have the authority to commission reviews of the existing framework to ensure high-quality patient care is maintained. He/she is required to work with the Prescribers and the Superintendent Pharmacist to maintain or, where possible, improve on the existing service to provide the best healthcare outcomes for patients.
Your role is to:
- Review the initial patient consultation phase, which is the medical consultation forms and associated pathways.
- Ensure they follow the relevant core guidance from NICE in order for PD
- Creation of new pathways or correction of existing pathways in order to maintain or improve upon existing consultation functions
- Develop/maintain and implement ways to improve the monitoring of medication.
- Monitor / Audit prescribing against local guidelines and formulary recommendations.
- Undertake clinical audits of prescribing provide feedback and implement changes in conjunction with the clinical team.
- Conduct weekly/monthly antibiotic prescribing audits and monthly drug safety audits.
- Implement changes to medicines that result from MHRA alerts.
- Work with the team to ensure the practice is compliant with GPHC standards where remote care is concerded.
- Creating templates and training for clinicians.
Review new/updated guidance protocols prior to implementation
- Ensure our online pharmacy is up to date with Local and National Guidelines, especially in the case of risk medication such as antibiotics where resistance data is constantly updated
- Commission and review clinical audits in relation to the prescribing practices
- Provide updates to any Antibacterial Guidance and create pathways to ensure changes are updated onto the existing system.
- Ensure all aspects of the service are adequate by conducting or commissioning the use of Auditing.

Salary: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
