Academic English Editor and Proofreader Remote
Job description
Linco Global Ltd. is looking for academic English editors and proofreaders familiar with preparing articles for publication in academic journals.
This is a freelance position and you can work remotely and set your own working schedule. You will be tasked with editing and proofreading articles authored by researchers and students from reputable South Korean universities and research institutions. You will need to have at least a university bachelor's degree taught in English to be eligible to apply.
The ideal candidate will have excellent proofreading skills and strong attention to detail, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties include:
- Proofreading for accuracy and consistency.
- Reviewing documents for grammatical errors and punctuation.
- Proofreading for spelling and grammar.
- Verifying that documents are consistent in spelling and grammar.
- Identifying errors that may affect the reader's understanding.
- Using standard grammar practices to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Other editing/proofreading tasks as assigned by management.
Skills: Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Excellent editing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word.
