PIGLETS PANTRY is an Award-Winning food producer based in West Sussex. We supply fantastic handmade pies, sausage rolls and other savoury and patisserie products to corporate venues and customers nationwide.

Due to expansion, our strong and hardworking team are looking for an experienced driver to deliver a wide variety of chilled and frozen products to various locations within the UK in vehicles up to and including a 7.5t truck.

The ideal candidate will also be customer service-oriented and able to handle any customer inquiries or complaints in a courteous manner. We strongly believe in excellence and as the face of Piglets Pantry with our customers, we expect you to:

Role and Responsibilities

• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicle
• Complete logs and reports including temperature checks
• Follow all relevant regulations and safety standards provided
• Maintain the vehicle and keep it clean and tidy
• Delivering throughout the week including weekends.
• Early starts dependant on delivery route.
• Follow delivery instructions and routes.
• Load and unload goods from the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Inspect the vehicle before and after each shift.

Preferred Skills

• Good organisational and time management skills
• Good understanding of satnav and geographic knowledge
• Previous customer service experience as you will be delivering to our corporate customers

Qualifications

• Clean and valid driving licence (We do not accept licences with over 6 penalty points or a disqualification within the past 5 years)
• Experience within a logistics environment is beneficial

Full training will be given where required.

• Delivery driver experience: 2 years (required)
• Driving: 1 year (preferred)
