Our Young Person Resilience Workers play an integral role within Change Grow Live, engaging young people in a range of interventions, using a young person-centred approach, and empowering our young service users to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safe, happy, and healthy lives.

You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Salary: CGL points 23-28

Responsibilities:
About the role:
  • To work closely with service users and partnership agencies, to engage children & young people in a range of interventions, utilising a young person centred approached, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safe, happy, and healthy life.
  • Providing interventions for young people in the community.
  • Working alongside professionals identifying young people at risk of involvement with the criminal justice system, exploitation, or gang involvement, where there is drug and alcohol use support requirements/early intervention needed.
  • Providing groups, trainings and assemblies for young people, professionals, and parents/carers.
  • Delivering high quality tier 2 and tier 3 psychosocial interventions.

About you:
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Knowledge of issues facing young people today.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people.
  • Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experiences of working within a related field.
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills.
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users.
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards.
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others.
