Salary: From £28,000 - £30,000 (Base salary + Shift Allowances) - Depending on experience

This is a pivotal role at the heart of the PLY Value Stream. This role plays a key part in securing product delivery to our customers, enabling their growth ambition and that of MWC globally.

This role supports the Shift Team Leader & lead operator in the wrapping value stream on one shift. The wrapping Operator will support key functional deliverables in Safety, Quality, Cost and Service.

The wrapping operator will be multi-skilled and flexible and able to cover other operational roles within the wrapping Value Stream.

What are we looking for?

  • Educated to GCSE level or above

  • Fluent English verbal and written skills.

  • Experience in the FMCG / Factory Operations industry desirable.

  • Mechanical training or experience in fault-finding – beneficial

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Part of a shift team of up to 15 associates contribute to achievement of targets.

  • Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.

  • Escalate issues as appropriate, give full and accurate verbal and written handover

  • Repair mechanical breakdowns using trained knowledge and experience.
