The Role?

We have exciting development opportunities for Workshop Trainee(s) to join our Mechanical Traineeship Programme, on a full-time permanent basis, based in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.

The successful candidates will work well as part of a team and have a willingness to learn with exceptional communication skills.

You will ideally hold a PEO / NC in Mechanical Engineering / Maintenance with the ability to read engineering drawings and have an eye for detail.

You?

  • Will hold a recognized qualification in Mechanical Engineering (PEO / NC / HNC / Modern Apprenticeship).
  • Will be a team player, with a willingness to learn.
  • Will ideally hold the ability to identify various mechanical fittings and components.
  • Have a strong eye for detail.

The Specifics

This list does not represent an exhaustive list but indicates the main responsibilities the post holder will be required to undertake:

  • Assist in the maintenance and testing of plant and equipment within the parameters of the applicable work instructions and standards.
  • Assisting in fault finding and repair of plant and equipment.
  • Ensure that work area is safe to carry out activities and carry out risk assessments, with assistance as required.
  • Assist in in evaluating results of fault finding, ensuring components are replaced / installed in accordance with applicable specification and procedures.
  • Assist to produce a clear and concise report of components repaired / replaced and appropriate approvals obtained.
  • Assist to populate certificates with equipment details and check information is correct and the appropriate approvals obtained.
  • Participate in company Traineeship Programme.
  • Assist with any other duties as required.
